Welcome
Pendower Beach is one of the gems of Cornwall's south coast.
Situated at the centre of the majestic sweep of Gerrans Bay, Pendower is a place of peaceful
beauty, yet easily accessible and popular with visitors of all ages for both
relaxation and recreation.
Not only is it included within the Roseland Peninsula Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty, but its geological features, examples of locally rare plant
species and diverse bird population have rendered it worthy of designation
as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is also part of the Fal and Helford Special Area of Conservation and the valley behind the beach is a County Wildlife Site.
Bathing water quality consistently meets the highest level of criteria set by the Environment Agency in its annual assessment in accordance with the current EC Bathing Water Directive.
The Friends of Pendower Beach is a charitable association with nearly 800 Members and Supporters, both from the local area and those who visit from across the
country and beyond, but all sharing a common goal. The conservation,
preservation and enhancement of the character and nature of this special place.
